Dr. Nicole Sangani is a residency-trained optometrist who is passionate about providing exceptional vision care to her patients. Dr. Sangani received her doctoral degree from SUNY College of Optometry where she was recognized for outstanding clinical performance in vision therapy. During her studies, she completed internships in primary eye care, ocular disease, pediatrics, and vision therapy. She is proficient in all aspects of primary eye care including spectacle refractions, contact lens fittings, and management of ocular disease. Dr. Sangani also specializes in eye exams for pediatric patients and children with special needs.
After receiving her doctorate degree, Dr. Sangani completed a residency in Vision Therapy and Rehabilitation at SUNY College of Optometry. She has effectively treated all types of binocular and eye movement disorders including, but not limited to, strabismus, learning-related vision problems, and visual processing deficits secondary to acquired brain injury. Dr. Sangani has presented academic posters at two national optometric meetings as well as a COPE approved lecture on Neuro-optometric Rehabilitation for Acquired Brain Injury. She is also an active member of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD).
Dr. Sangani is committed to serving her patients as well as her community and under-served populations. She traveled to Lima, Peru to provide no-cost eye care services to an underprivileged community and has volunteered at various low-income shelters and elementary schools across New York City. During her spare time. Dr. Sangani enjoys traveling, live music, yoga, and spending time with family and friends.
